Practice Nurse

We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join the nurse’s team at Parkside Family Practice.

We are a very friendly, 2 site practice in Reading. We come under the locality of Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire Integrated Care Board. We have over 17,500 patients and need someone who is keen to take on an active nurse role.

The fully registered (NMC) and qualified nurse (PGD) will have to work full time across both our sites. We require an experienced nurse with a range of skills who acts according to their professional boundaries. The practice nurse will have expert knowledge is some fields such as diabetes management, complex wound care management, child immunisations, cytology and infection control. This is a full time role working across both our sites. Working across the whole week.

The nurse role is to promote integrated nursing practice underpinned by the development of evidence based practice guidelines, for shared delivery of care to the whole practice population. To ensure clinical effectiveness by monitoring of key quality markers relating to guidelines. We currently use IT systems EMIS Web, Docman 10, Accurx and Anima. Experience in these systems is desirable.
