Practice Management Team

Welcome to our newly formed Practice Management Team. Our Partners have decided to have a team of managers to manage the complexities of running a busy 17,000 patient practice. We hope this new dynamic will bring up the service standard of our practice. We are patient focused and the aim is to provide a NHS service to an efficient standard. And to place our patients at the forefront of NHS care.

Kalsoom Kayani (F) Business Manager, Dip BF

Kalsoom has been working in the NHS since 2008 and has many years NHS experience. She has experience in Dental, Pharmacy and Primary care. She Joined the practice in 2016 and has provided a supportive role to the practice team as a whole. She deals with all incoming and outgoing Finances, Payroll , Pension and all things system related pertaining to IT. She is the key liaison for IT when it comes to system upgrades and hardware changes at the practice. She is the lead when it comes to Information Governance and Enhanced Services reporting and any day to day issues arising in general practice. she hopes to bring experience to the role and support her other colleagues in providing a more efficient service to patients at our practice. 

Tina Hudson (F) HR Manager

Tina joined Parkside in 2017 and is a valued member of the practice. Her role is to support the whole practice with any issues arising including HR and Admin and operations. She is the point of contact for job vacancies,interviews and she also deals with staff appraisals, sickness reporting and Annual Leave. She has many years experience in the HR area of her role and fully supports all the Teams at Parkside with her wealth of knowledge and experience. She is a very supportive manager to our staff and we are happy to have her working with us.

Cara Webb, (F) Operations Manager

Cara has been working with us for a few years now. She is the newest manager in our team and has a Retail managerial background and is used to leading a complex team. She deals with the day to day operations of the business. She works alongside the other 2 managers, and deals with the daily struggles of running a very busy practice. She deals with any patient complaints, staff issues and makes sure we are the best we can be to our patients. She is adept at adhering to our practice policies and organising our clinical and team meetings. She will be the first point of contact when it comes to dealing with external agencies and overseeing our Practice performance via Quality outcomes Framework results.

Secretaries

Ms Donna Hunter, Green Road
Ms Maria Latimer, Woodley

The secretaries are here to support the GPs. They arrange any urgent referrals, organise the admin around a normal referral, write out letters on behalf of the GP. Their work is highly skilled and they interact with patients on a daily basis. They offer all round support to the admin, GPs, reception and the nursing team at the practice.

Admin team

We currently have 10 admin support staff. These are valued members of our practice, and they work as a team and support the entire practice. The admin team work consists of new registrations, Patient deductions, Note summarising, Coding, Scanning, Patient requests and Enhanced services reporting and Patient Death protocols. You can appreciate the work our admin team do as without them we could not run efficiently.

Not only is their work highly confidential, they have to make sure all patient records are correct and up to date in accordance with GDPR regulations. They are essential to our practice and we rely on them to carry out their work to a high level of competency.

Lucy Radburn (F) Reception Manager

Lucy has worked her way up at our practice. she started as a receptionist and Lead, and has recently started her Reception Manager role. Lucys main focus is making sure there are appointments available to our patients. The day to day of managing her 16 Strong receptionist team is a huge undertaking. She will deal with shift work with reception staff and make sure we have adequate cover when receptionists are on annual leave or sick leave. she will cast a keen eye on scheduling each day and ensure appointments availability, and our clinics are being utilised effectively.

Reception Team

Our reception staff are amazing and sometimes have to deal with extremely difficult circumstances. They each bring a different skill to the practice and work tirelessly for the sake of our practice. Receptionists provide an important link for patients within the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims and carrying out searches and practice audits.
