Practice manager
Leo is our practice manager who comes from a healthcare background, he will be involved in managing all aspects of the practice such as making sure the right systems are in place to provide high quality care to our patients, our team and the local population. This will involve making sure we keep our premises, resources, information technology, finances and equipment up to the highest standards as possible. As the practice manager he will work closely with the GP’s and other medical professionals in delivering patient services while building on and developing extended services to enhance patient care.
Michelle Richardson, female
Reception manager
Michelle has been working with us for a number of years. She came to us with many years General Practice experience. She works cohesively with the whole Practice team to ensure the smooth running of our practice services. She manages the reception team and ensures that our patients are taken care of when it comes to appointments. She has assisted in the role out of Anima our new bookings system, and alongside the management team she helps with the day to day running of the practice
Reception
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.
Secretaries
Ms Donna Hunter, Green Road
Ms Maria Latimer, Woodley
The secretaries are here to support the GPs. They arrange any urgent referrals, organise the admin around a normal referral, write out letters on behalf of the GP. Their work is highly skilled and they interact with patients on a daily basis. They offer all round support to the admin, GPs, reception and the nursing team at the practice.
Admin team
We currently have 9 admin support staff. These are valued members of our practice, and they work as a team and support the entire practice. The admin team work consists of new registrations, patient deductions, patients note summarising, coding, scanning, patient requests and enhanced services reporting.
Not only is their work highly confidential, they have to make sure all patient records are correct and up to date in accordance with GDPR regulations. They are essential to our practice and we rely on them to carry out their work to a high level of competency.
Kalsoom Kayani, female
Finance & IT manager, Dip BF
Kalsoom has been working in the NHS since 2008 and has experience in the GP and finance area. She Joined the practice in 2016 and has provided a supportive role to the practice manager and the clinicians. She deals with all incoming and outgoing finances, payroll , pension and all things system related pertaining to IT. She is the key liaison for IT when it comes to system upgrades and hardware changes at the practice.
Tina Hudson, female
HR manager
Tina joined Parkside in 2017 and is a valued member of the practice. She managed the set up of the covid vaccination clinics, managed the staff and the volunteers and did a brilliant job. Her role is to support the whole practice with any issues arising including HR and admin tasks. She is the point of contact for job vacancies and she also deals with staff appraisals, sickness reporting and she provides valuable support to the admin and reception teams.
