Mrs Helen Edwards (F) Dip ILM
Helen Edwards is our new Business Manager. She has taken on the role of being a project lead for our planned refurbishment at the Green Road site. We look forward to her managing this project with her highly skilled input and hopefully our premises at the Green road site will change for the better.
Receptionists provide an important link for patients with the practice and are your initial contact point for general enquiries. They can provide basic information on services and results and direct you to the right person depending on your health issue or query. Receptionists make most of the patient appointments with the GPs and nurses. They also perform other important tasks such as issuing repeat prescriptions and dealing with prescription enquiries, dealing with financial claims, dealing with patient records and carrying out searches and practice audits.

Ms Maria Hodgson – Woodley
The secretaries are here to support the GPs. They arrange any urgent referrals, organise the admin around a normal referral, write out letters on behalf of the GP. Their work is highly skilled and they interact with patients on a daily basis. They offer all round support to the admin, GPs, reception and the nursing team at the practice.
We currently have 10 admin support staff. These are valued members of our practice, and work very well in a cohesive unit. The admin team work consists of IT, new registrations, patient deductions, patients note summarising, coding, scanning, patient requests, enhanced services reporting and finance. Not only is their work highly confidential, they have to make sure all patient records are correct and up to date in accordance with GDPR regulations.
