At Parkside Family Practice, We are very friendly and professional practice who place patient care at the foremost of our Practice. We have made several improvements to our practice to ensure our focus is totally on patient care. Introducing new systems such as our telephone system and our Anima Patient request system. We have an amazing combination of Clinical and Administration staff. With our superb Reception team who provide a friendly face at first point of call for patients.

We are a GP training practice and carry out research in conjunction with the Royal Berkshire Hospital and the Universities of Oxford. We have a few GPs who are providing a full educational experience with students who come from a variety of universities across England.

We provide a high quality service and achieved 611.4 out of a possible 635 points on the government Quality and Outcomes Framework (QOF) in 2024/2025. We work very hard and are pleased we acheived 96% of points available.

In addition to pre-bookable, book on the day and urgent care clinic appointments, we offer telephone consultations when urgent with our duty doctor. You will be asked by the reception staff for your contact number and a brief idea as to the nature of your call so that we can deal with your needs in the most appropriate and timely manner. The doctor will call you as soon as practically possible.

You can have access to your records under GDPR 2018, contact the surgery or access within your NHS APP. Once you have access to the NHS APP you will be able to:

  • Order your repeat prescriptions
  • Make an appointment
  • Cancel an appointment
  • Change your contact details
  • Review your medications and known allergies
  • Immunisations and health conditions
  • Consultations and events (with access)
